Using Love to Grow Your Business
February is the “Love Month” so what better theme for our newsletter than using the power of love to grow your business? Before we jump into our topic, here are some fun Valentine’s Day Facts:
- Valentine’s Day started off as a pagan holiday but at the end of the fifth century Roman Pope Gelasius proclaimed February 14th as St. Valentine’s Day.
- The oldest recorded Valentine was sent from a French duke’s cell in the Tower of London to his wife in 1415. The first mass produced Valentine’s cards were sold in the 1840’s and today we send over 145 million.
- Over 250 million roses are grown annually for Valentines Day.
- Americans spend over $26 Billion for cards, flowers, candy, and jewelry. Men spend an average of $249 for gifts while women spend an average of $57. Over 27 million American households spend more than $750 million giving gifts to pets.
So, that’s crazy, huh? While those statistics are interesting, how can I grow my business through the Power of Love? Well, I’m glad you asked.
Love is one of the most powerful and dynamic forces in nature, mankind, and yes, even business. I love (sorry, had to use that!) these two quotes that demonstrate the power of love:
“The true power of love is found in selfless attitudes and actions that seek the best for another person without expecting anything in return. When we act in that way, the feeling of love follows close behind.”
Pastor David Jeremiah
“We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.”
William E Gladstone
Love is transforming, energizing, motivating, and attractive. Why? Here is your first tip for the month.
Love, clearly associated with relationships, possesses the remarkable ability to attract success in business. When employees and leaders cultivate a sense of love for their work, colleagues, and their organization, it can lead to transformative changes in company culture and productivity.
Love brings energy and passion to the workplace, fueling innovation and creativity. Moreover, it motivates employees to go the extra mile, fostering a sense of loyalty and commitment that drives long-term success.
This love-centric approach also attracts customers, partners, and investors who are drawn to businesses where genuine care and empathy is prioritized. In today’s competitive business landscape, embracing love as a fundamental value can be a game-changer, ultimately contributing to sustainable growth and prosperity.
This month I’ll be sharing weekly tips on four key areas where love can help grow your business:
