Stand and Be Counted
Well, friends, October is here! Pumpkins are everywhere, fall festivals abound, and cooler weather is coming!
Something else is in the air—the election.
We stand on the verge of one of the most important elections our nation has ever seen. Your vote is your voice—so make it heard.
And now is an essential time to be praying for our nation and for God’s will to be done.
Whether you like one candidate or the other, VOTE. It’s your civic duty and responsibility. Not voting is a vote for apathy. What if your one vote could change the course of the election?
Here are two quotes to contemplate as the election looms:
Make sure you make a sound decision as you cast your vote. Don’t be swayed by the opinions of media, social media, or clever ads designed to move your heart and deceive your mind. Seek truth and clarity.
Consider the position the candidates hold. Consider their history of success and failure. Don’t allow yourself to be swayed by anything but sound logic and the research that you conduct. Your vote is so important. Don’t take it lightly!
In light of the violence and confusion raging in our nation, be sure to vote early and in person. There are many rumors and rumblings about potential voting location disruptions that may occur. In Tennessee we have early voting so take advantage of this. For our part, we’re going to vote early and stay home that day.
There are also rumblings that no matter who wins, there may be some disruptions and chaos that may occur after the election. If you do not have any emergency preparations for food and water, I would suggest you consider making plans quickly. A great provider of emergency food and water is www. MyPatriotSupply.com.(No, we are not an affiliate, just sharing useful information.)
Preparing for emergencies is not just for political unrest but in case of natural disasters that shut down grocery stores and utilities. It is better to be wise than hungry!
As always, if we can help you with your communications or writing needs, we’d love to sit down with you over coffee and chat.
